About the property

Our Old Farmhouse dates back to the 17th century and is a beautiful mix of the traditional and contemporary. While you will be delighted by the original exposed brickwork and inglenook fireplace with log burner, you can also enjoy the large modern kitchen, and bright and airy bedrooms, two of which are en-suite. There is also a 52-inch wall-mounted SMART TV with DVD/Blu-Ray player for a quiet night in. There is ample parking available in front of the Farmhouse, and you are also treated to a quiet picnic area with wonderful views across the surrounding forest. The Farmhouse can be hired as a self-contained, self-catering holiday accommodation or as a function space for events, family parties or group bookings.

The Old Farmhouse is very close to Nutley village, where you will find a couple of great restaurants, a café and small shops. The nearby village of Forest Row is an excellent choice for coffee shops, restaurants and tea rooms. Uckfield for supermarket shopping. For serious shopping you may want to visit Tunbridge Wells, East Grinstead, Brighton or Eastbourne, which are all a short drive away. Nutley Edge sits on the border of the Ashdown Forest. The stunning views and wide open spaces make the forest a popular choice for walkers. There are over 50 car parks in the forest, which means you can easily access the parts you want to explore.

Outside: This cottage is set within the enclosed grounds of Nutley Edge, which boasts over 11 acres of beautiful farmland and rare ancient Gill woodland, which even has its own stream, perfect for a game of Poohsticks. There are also resident sheep, chickens and a cat called Charlie.

Amenities: Ample parking on the site. Bed linen, towels, WIFI and electric and central heating included. No smoking in the cottages. Pets welcome, but dogs must be kept on a lead in the communal cottage areas, and when there are sheep in the fields.

Additional info: Short breaks welcome.

The Old Farmhouse is a two storey building with a large kitchen, two cloakrooms, lounge and dining space on the ground floor, with TV, DVD/Blu-Ray and WIFI. Kitchen: with fridge/freezer, a separate fridge for drinks, an electric cooker, induction hobs, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, microwave, kettle, ironing board and iron, and cutlery/cooking utensils.
