Alder cottage is one of our wheelchair accessible  cottages situated in our courtyard. The cottage is self-contained, fully-furnished, a single bedroom downstairs with electric fully height adjustable bed , walk in wet room, shower seat or perching stool can be available for guest use, grab rails in situ.

Kitchen: with fridge/freezer, electric cooker, hob, washing machine, microwave, kettle, ironing board and iron, and cutlery/cooking utensils.

There is a lounge/diner – large open-plan room with  Smart TV, Free guest WIFI.

Alder cottage has a quaint little garden area with bistro style garden furniture , perfect for a morning coffee or afternoon tea.

Outside: This cottage is set within the enclosed grounds of Nutley Edge, which has 11 acres of rolling pasture and forest, comfortable outside seating areas, picnic tables and children’s play equipment, wildlife pond and stream with our own ‘pooh bridge’

All our cottages are within 2 miles of Nutley village, which has a couple of great restaurants and a small convenience store, and the nearby town of Uckfield, with larger shops, pubs and amenities, including a cinema and indoor pool. This property is also only a short distance from the south coast, with the seaside resorts of Brighton and Eastbourne both less than an hour’s drive away.

Amenities: Free parking on the site. Bed linen, towels, WIFI and electric and central heating included. No smoking in the cottages. Pets welcome at £35 per dog, maximum of two per booking. Dogs  must be kept on a lead at all times with the exception of the designated dog paddock (at owners risk)

A manual Oxford Midi hoist can be hired for £10 per day. Please phone the office to check availability.
