The sun is shining and there is plenty to do in and around Sussex this summer holiday.
For those budding little scientists amongst you, don’t miss a visit to the Science Observatory at Hertsmonceux this July/August, with their hands-on activity sessions including ‘make and take’. You can even experience the Telescope tour…. see if you can spot any little aliens or is it now Pokémon…
Penshurst Place is only 30 minutes away in neighbouring Kent, where adults can enjoy strolling round a stately home and beautiful gardens once owned by King Henry VIII, a history going back six and a half centuries. Don’t worry kids, there is plenty for you to enjoy, so why not try out the maze and adventure playground. I hear the locally-produced ice-creams are a dream!
Or just grab that bucket and spade and head to one of the many beaches just 30/40 minutes drive away.
