Last week we welcomed back our regular activity break for the first time since Christmas. It was great to have them back on site bringing general cheer and smiles. This months activity breaks focus was ‘Food Lovers’ and they did not disappoint. In the office here, we got to try many of their creations which were absolutely delicious (I did feel like the Mary Berry of Nutley Edge). We tried Banana Muffins, Soup, Bread Pudding and Carrot Cake, these were just a few of the items that were whipped up by the participants.
Wednesday it got a bit quiet here for us as they ventured out to Brighton, where I hear they had a brilliant time on the sea front and visited a Café where they had a break themselves from cooking and enjoyed some more yummy foods.
It wasn’t all food food food either, they managed to find time for a colouring competition too which is impressive. Me and Michelle got to judge this and it was tough to call but there was a clear winner with a beautiful bright colouring of a Rhino. We couldn’t leave it there though, we chose to award a 2nd prize as the colouring of a bird of paradise was so neat that we couldn’t possibly just look over it.
The activity break attendees love these weeks and it is perfect here for them. Especially for the food lovers week as we are fully equipped self catering cottages. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you are interested in taking part in one of our activity breaks, a full site venue hire or even just a quiet holiday on Ashdown Forest.
